Characteristics

Quite vertical via ferrata separated by small approaches indicated by red and yellow marks. We will begin with a vertical in which we will not find great difficulties except for some slight overhangs, to continue through a grassy area (in which we will behave we will behave civically without making a fuss and not to disturb the animals and do not disturb the animals if there are any since it is private land). We will return to continue ascending by the wall that will deposit us in the beginning of the bridge, which has an escape option (either for not wanting to do it or for or because there are too many people waiting, it will take between 5 and 10 minutes).

To then continue horizontally along a long strip, in which we will find an escape option almost at the end. If we continue along the ferrata we will arrive at two variants, the easy section La Tosquera and the very difficult section (K5) L'Esperó. This one will give us a good test as it is completely collapsed and has athletic steps. Once we finish whichever of the two options which comes to end in the same path. We will be able to choose to continue with the ferrata or to finish.

If we will only have one last stretch in which we will find a staircase and we will finish, we will find a staircase and we will end up doing top in the Puigsagordi.

Arrival

From Barcelona take the C-17 towards Vic, exit 46 Centelles Nord. Turn right towards Centelles.

As soon as you enter the village, turn right following the signs to Puigsagordi. Go straight on until you reach a fork and turn right, there are signs indicating Via Ferrata.

Then follow the signs for Via Ferrata to the left along a track to the car park (marked in Google Maps as "parking ferrata baumes corcades").

Approach

From the car park we walk up the dirt road to a large block with a hole in it, and turn right. After a steep climb the track turns into a path where on the right we see the beginning of the rock face.

Descent

Follow the yellow markings to the last section with some staples and to the road and walk back down to the car park.

Points of interest

The most famous ferrata in Catalonia leading to the top of Puigsagordi is known for its 70 meters long Tibetan bridge. It has two variants. The heavy one is Tram de l'Esperó - E / K5.

The equipped part of the track is 800m, but you also need to hike between the equipped sections. The total length is about 4km.

Along the track, if you keep an eye out for it, you can see fossilized sea shells embedded in the rock. It adds a special touch to this enjoyable ferrata.
