This short hut via ferrata can be easily connected to the Imster via ferrata. A highlight for children would be a ride on the Alpine Coaster (summer toboggan run with a roller coaster feeling).
Arrival
On the A12 to the Imst exit and further into Imst town center. Turn left towards Hochimst and drive to the valley station of the Imster Bergbahnen.
Public transport: by train to Imst and further by bus to the valley station.
Approach
From the Alpjoch mountain station via the so-called Drischlsteig (smaller children are better to take a short rope, the path is sometimes quite exposed on the slope) over to the Muttekopfhütte. Shortly before the hut you cross a stream with a waterfall. Then you climb in the lane to the entrance to the left of the waterfall. It takes about 2,5 hours from the valley to the entrance.
Exit
From the exit over a bridge to the hiking path and over this to the Muttekopfhütte in a few minutes. Then back on the path to the mountain station.
