Characteristics

On the panoramic mountain Vallon Bianco - a newly repaired part of the so-called Peace Trail on the massive, northern foothills of the Faneskamm. Passing countless positions - at which the Austrians held the front in the First World War - you climb up to the summit on the hiking trail, only there is a short call for ferrata skills. However, you should not underestimate (if it is wet) the climbing system, often sharply at the demolition edge (a safety rope for children) the path leads to the striking panoramic summit with its broad summit plateau.

Arrival

From St. Lorenzen to Val Badia and via St. Kassian towards the Falzarego Pass. After the village, in front of the Sciare bridge (large ballast bed), turn left to the parking lot of the Capanna Alpina.

By public transport: by train to St. Lorenzen and by bus (lines 460 and 465) via Stern (change) to Sciarè.

Approach

From the Capanna Alpina to the Big Fanesalm (for description, overview and topo see at Ferrata Furcia Rossa - at the end on path "VB").
