Characteristics

Approx. 1 hour via ferrata, there is no topo/description on site. Built on the north side of Mali Lupoglav in 2024. In the first part there are a lot of metal clamps on a steep rock face - "ladder climbing". Here you should have a head for heights. In the second part there is more contact with rock and ground, there are also 2 short rope bridges with wonderful panoramic views

Arrival

Drive on the forest road from Mokro towards the hiking hut "Planinarski Dom Crvne Stijene". Park at the fork in the road at 43°53'02.4"N 18°38'38.3"E

Boarding

From the fork in the road where you parked, take the forest path south for 2.5 km; the passage is blocked by a blue barrier. (after about 1 km there is a house under construction with a spring and picnic benches; a new hiking hut?) After 2.5 km a sign points left uphill to the Via Ferrata: 1km and 25min; the path is well marked, only once there is a crossing marked path with a sign pointing in the direction where you come from (Planinarski Dom Crvne Stijene) continue straight uphill there, do not turn right.

Exit

The descent path is also well marked in red and white and, at a spring, rejoins the forest path on which we had already taken the outward journey, about 1.5 km from the point where we turned off to the Via Ferrata. Return journey approx. 45 min path + 60 min forest path (4km).

Interesting facts

There is a second via ferrata nearby at Planinarski Dom Crvne Stijene: Sokolov Put.

Both can easily be done in one day, the starting points are only a few minutes away from each other by car.
