Via ferrata Berti - C
Predicting whether..
Characteristics
The Ferrata Berti is the Schiara Group's summit via ferrata and is often used in conjunction with the Ferrata Zacchi and the Ferrata MÃ rmol. The climb has a few strenuous vertical passages, which can be quite demanding after the long climb over the Ferrata Zacchi. The climb on the summit is not yet over - a long ridge leads over to the neighboring bivouac, with a perfect panoramic view of Belluno and the sea.
Arrival
In Belluno (accessible via the A22 to Trento, then on the SS47, SP76, SS50 and SR50 via Feltre to the city) on the SR204 towards Agordo. Still in the northern part of the city to Bolzano and to the hamlet of Casa Bortot - at the end of the parking lot.
Approach
From Rif. 7 ° Alpini (reachable from the parking lot in 2½ hours on path 501) leads to the left behind the hut path 503-514 (marked red / white / red) north over a meadow slope to the joint entry of the two tours, which is on the right next to a striking, large rock niche. Continue via Via ferrata Zacchi to the Bivacco della Bernardina.
Exit
From the summit east over the long ridge (ascending and descending, places to A/B) to a meadow crest and over the ridge down to the fork to the Forc. del MÃ rmol (table). Keep slightly to the right from the board and across stepped, grassy terrain (A) down to the last wall step (A) and to the Bocco-MÃ rmol bivouac (2066m). Attention: In the end, do not go straight down to the gap, this cannot be crossed.
Interesting facts
The tour is basically not an independent via ferrata, but primarily serves as a summit via ferrata after one of the two central Schiara-Ferratas (Zacchi or MÃ rmol).
