Characteristics
Easy, short and nice via cordata to the holy cross of Hagia where you have an amazing view between the Thessalian plateau, the mountains of Pindus, and the giant rocks of Meteora.
IMPORTANT:
This is a via cordata so you need the technic of multi pitch! In addition to the basic equipment you need 80m rope and aprox 8 quickdraws.
Arrival
Public free parking in Kastraki near the church "Peter and Paul".
Approach
Go up in the streets between the houses till you reach the church St. Nickolas and the beginning of the path in the forrest. Walk up, you will pass another building (church) in the forrest and finally the spindle (needle rock). The spindle you can pass left or right side, follow the main path and you will come to a big slope rock area. Stay right side and go up (in theory this is already the beginning of the via cordata with fix points which are hard to see)
Descent
Same way back!
Points of interest
The via cordata is easy but the fixpoints have very big distances so take care!
The pitches sometimes are confusing and not clear moreover because there are all the way the same types of fixpoints.
The area at the cross has no security, be careful!
From the via cordata there are different climbing routes going more up, inform before if you are interested.
