Characteristics

Steiglkogel-Steig is a very short via ferrata to a worthwhile summit.

Arrival

A10 to Eben, then on to Filzmoos. Turn left in the town center and drive on the Oberhofalm toll road.

With public transport: by train to Eben. From there take the bus (line 521) to Filzmoos center.

Approach

Ascend on path 612 to the Hofpürglhütte and further to the Steiglpass. Alternatively also from the Vorderer Gosausee. Immediately after the pass, turn right onto an unmarked trail. At first just cross and later laboriously in the rubble at the beginning of the security elements.

Exit

Same as approach.

Interesting facts

Can be combined well with a circuit around the Gosau ridge.
