Characteristics
Via ferrata in the Turdian gorge leading through the Hili cave with beautiful views. Built by SkyFly club from Cluj-Napoca in 2012.
Arrival
From the town of Turda (12km) continue to the villages of Mihai Viteazul, Cheia and finally Cheile Turzii, where is the entrance to the gorge.
Alternatively to the village of Petresti de Jos, located on the opposite side of the gorge.
Approach
From the parking lot at Cheile Turzi along the hiking trail through the gorge. You either cross the first bridge or just pass it to the right if you started at the Salvamonte Mountain Rescue Lodge. Here, the 4 LEI (2018) entry fee is paid. Subsequently, it passes through another 3 bridges. From the fourth bridge, on the right side, there is a distinctive high white rock with a cave in the upper right. There's the start of the ferrata below it. After getting out of the bridge it is necessary to continue up the path to the right and head towards the rock with the cave.
Exit
Marked footpaths lead from the top either to one or the other village. Orientation is simple, everything is well marked.
