Characteristics

Directly above the village of Ziano di Fiemme, the summit cross of Punta Polse (1450 m) flashes. On the east side of the mountain, a short miniferrata travels to the summit through a gorge channel blocked by two clamping blocks. On the summit bench you can enjoy the beautiful view of the small town of Ziano di Fiemme. With a little skill, the shepherds' reddened inscriptions can be found on the rocks shortly before the start.

Arrival

A22 Brenner motorway to the Auer / Ora exit and along state road 48 to Ziano di Fiemme (a little before Predazzo). Park in the village directly at the church.

Approach

From the parking lot on the busy road behind the cemetery. Follow the road to the right and on path 509 (partly forest road) to a junction (well signposted). Cross to the left and at the end under rocks to the entrance at 1370m.

Exit

Same as approach.

Interesting facts

Short tour that is also interesting for children. But watch out for rockfalls in the canyon! Very sensitive when wet! You have to look for the red rock paintings on the approach - good distraction for children when the path is long above. Tip: LaSportiva mountain shoe factory is in town - a visit could be worthwhile.
