Characteristics

Alternative, more demanding ascent to Rjavina (2532 m). Ferrata follows natural passages, so climbing is pleasant and fun. Rock and security is excellent, there could only be one more steel cable in the vertical part.

Arrival

From Mojstrana to Lengarjev rovt (1000 m) at the end of valley Kot. Alternative starting point is valley Vrata (ascent to Staničev dom via Pot čez Prag or Tominškova pot).

Approach

Very long approach as we have to climb more than 1000 vertical meters to reach the ferrata entrance. If we start from Staničev dom, it will take us only about 30 minutes to reach karst sinkhole Pekel, where via ferrata starts.

Exit

First to the second, southwestern Rjavina summit (2 meters lower than the main summit) and then via unmarked, but well visible path back to Pekel and the same way down. If we head back to Staničev dom, we have to ascent some more meters from the second Rjavina summit to get to the hut (marked path).

Interesting facts

Very long round from valley Kot, which is a great achievement for anyone.
