FERRATA IS NO LONGER ACCESSIBLE. DO NOT ATTEMPT!! The path to access has been destroyed in a landslide.
Characteristics
Opened on 22nd June 2024, this Via Ferrata is on a Water Dam. There are 3 different routes, 1 easy one and 2 medium ones, one zip line and one wooden Tibetan bridge. The vast majority of the Ferrata is well equipped with large metal steps.
The first section on the right side starts inside an old water tunnel. A Headlamp is advisable.
For the zip line, bring your own pulley.
Arrival
Park your car at the Aparcamiento Cueva del Hundidero, which is free of charge
Approach
From the car park, follow the dust road going down to the Hundidero cave. There is a sign to start of the Via Ferrata just before arriving at the cave. Visit the cave before you go to the Ferrata, this is "a must" and only a small detour.
Descent
After finishing at the top of the Water Dam, walk all the way to the right side and and then back up to the car park.
Points of interest
Visit the Hundidero cave before starting the Via Ferrata. It will be worth it!!
At the begging the via Ferrata, you have to go through an old water tunnel. A Headlamp is advisable.
For the zip line, bring your own pulley.
The climb down after the tunnel to Route 3 does not exist anymore.
