Characteristics

Remote, less known ferrata to Koča na Doliču, which is a good starting point to climb highest peak of Slovenia, Triglav (2864 m). Technically not demanding, but long and steep. In the mornings it lies in a shadow, which is very welcome on such long ascent.

Arrival

From Kranjska Gora over Vršič or Bovec via Trenta valley to the parking lot in the beginning of Zadnjica valley.

Approach

Via the marked path towards Luknja (we should not turn left towards Kriški podi or right towards Prehodavci). Ferrata starts on the right side from a small waterfall when we come to the wall at the end of the valley.

Exit

Via the marked path from Dolič to Zadnjica (not turning left at the sign Komar when going back down).

Interesting facts

It makes sense to visit Triglav or Kanjavec on out tour and spend the night in Koča na Doliču.
