













Characteristics
A short via ferrata that leads from the church square to the viewing platform above the city. The difficulty rating is K2, which corresponds to a B/C rating in relation to alpine difficulties. Particularly when traversing descending, the route can appear slightly overhanging and the cramp beneath you is difficult to see. Otherwise it is a nicely secured via ferrata in the B area.
Arrival
Drive to Graus. Park either in the parking lot below the rock face at the church square or in the parking lot at the second church a little further north.
Boarding
From the parking lot below the rock face, turn right and follow a few switchbacks. Then you turn right onto a path and reach the entrance.
Exit
The descent is via a staircase along the southern path visible from the observation deck.
Interesting facts
There are two more via ferratas near Graus, 12 km southwest of Olvena. However, these via ferratas are dilapidated, rusty and dangerous. They are officially closed and are therefore not included in the Alpine Guide.
This is the Santo Cristo via ferrata with a difficulty rating of K2/K3, where the safety rope is in poor condition.
And about an old via ferrata in the gorge above the Rio Ésera river on the south wall, the exact name of which is unknown. This via ferrata is in a dilapidated and dangerous condition, which is already evident on the first rope bridge.
