Characteristics

Nice ferrata that can be climbed in 3 hours. From the top are beautiful views of Hallstattsee, ideal in combination with LEADERSHIP. It is good to start with Leadership because it is easier.

Arrival

Linz - Bad Ischl - Bad Goisern - Lasern, follow the main road up the hill to Predigstuhl. (northern part of Hallstattsee) Large parking spot next to the cottage.

Approach

From the parking lot take the gravel road. It is marked for skiers and a there is a small yellow Klettersteig arrow sign. At the first crossroad, about 100 meters from the parking lot, turn left along the yellow arrow sign. The path turns backwards over the cottage. You will reach the crossroads where the yellow tourist arrows signs are right and left to Predistuhl. Take the Wanderweg 245 right along the gravel road to Predistuhl. After less than a kilometer, you will see the blue signs for Klettersteig Leadership and Klettersteig Mein Land, Dein Land. Continue further via the gravel road about 400 meters more. Then you will see a crossroads. There the roads go right and straight down. Here, look to the left into the forest where there is a blue table on the tree, marked Mein Land, Dein Land. Take an uphill walk to the forest. There are also on the trees the Blue Tables sign and on the stones and trees a tiny light yellow stripe measuring about 2x4cm. They are very pale, so you can easily overlook them. You will go to the rock where there is a blue table sign on the tree. Take the left side along the rock wall up the hill. There you will see a slit in the rock where the ferrata begins.

Exit

At the end of the rope, go left on a badly noticeable path across the choped down clearing. At the top you will find a tourist sign which if you will follow you get to the parking lot. Suitable to join the Ferrata Leadership. After about 1/3 of the descent from Predistuhl, you will find the arrow sign to the Leadeship Klettersteig.
