Characteristics

A very nice via ferrata to the top of Grosse Gamswiessenspitz. The hardest sections are of difficulty C and are at the very end of this mountainous ferrata.
After this ferrata, there is another easier ferrata to the top of Kleine Gamswiessenspitz.

Arrival

Linz - Salzburg - here direction Villach and exit to Lienz. Drive through Lienz to Sillian. Behind the village of Leisach - Gries turn left over the bridge to the Klammbruckl car park.

Approach

From the car park to the Kerschbaumer-Alm, from which go to the Kerschbaumertörl. Just below the rock, turn to the path to the left where is the start of the ferrata.

Exit

From Kleine Gamswiessenspitze take the easy A/B ferrata to the Kerschbaumertorl saddle and back to Kerschbaumer-Alm.
