Characteristics

A beautiful, not simple and physically demanding via ferrata which is located near the border with Slovenia. The ferrata ends with climb on a wall. Reserve whole day for this ferrata.

Arrival

Villach - Ferlach - Zell-Pfarre - from there to Koschutahaus.

Approach

Follow the road to Koschutnikturm, direction Grosalm. Turn right at Felsaufschrift "Lärchenschlucht". Then go up to Geröllhalde until you reach the start of the ferrata.

Exit

Exit is a bit more complicated, you can choose two variats:

- Either by the secured route through the rest of the ferrata to the saddle and then continue to Lärchenberg. Furthermore, still follow the marked path back down.

- Or a shorter, but more dangerous way straight down (on the topo left down). There is a risk of falling stones and the road is not secured.
