Characteristics

Absolutely fascinating ferrata Kristall Kletersteig named after the crystal clear lake Weißsee, which you will be climbing on. Fairy tale picture! But Ferrata is quite demanding, exposed and intended only for tough individuals. Adam Ondra himself would certainly have problems with it, so he has never climb it yet:)

Arrival

Zell am See Mittersill - Uttendorf. Then cross the Stubachtal to the Weißsee-Gletscherbahn - here park

Approach

Either take the cable car to the Hotel Rudolfshütte, or you can walk over the slope for about 2.5 hours to the hotel, there is a marked path. From the hotel, turn left and walk across the lake from left to right, and the Ferrata is directly opposite to the hotel on the other side.

Exit

You go down to the start and go back to the hotel.
