Characteristics

An amazing ferrata in the Kitzlochklamm near Zell am See. Ferrata is very funny with heavier climbing sections and a rope bridge. The first part of the ferrata to the rope bridge is quite demanding, definitely for experienced climbers. Then you cross the bridge and decide whether to continue to the left and try the heaviest passage difficulty F, or go right (D - this route is challenging, but there is a possibility to escape). Option F is totally overwhelming. It starts with overhang, after which you will have no energy, but you have to go on. The rope is moving and the rock is too far away, so it is very hard climbing up and there is virtually no place to rest. Here, you need to use a blockant or something like that. It is practically impossible to climb without resting. Then connect to the second rope and reach the pulley, which you have to use to get to the end.

Arrival

In Taxenbach, near the petrol station, turn sharply to the left (from direction Salzburg) to Kitzlochklamm, where is a parking lot.

Approach

From the parking lot to the "Marienrast". Here you will find a path to the right and you will get to the ferrata.

Exit

On the marked path to the parking lot.
