Characteristics
Three short via ferratas in the hiking paradise around the Hochjoch. If you are fit, you can climb them in front of the Hochjoch via ferrata to warm up. Those who like to hike with the family and want to do a short via ferrata are in good hands with the ferratas above the two lakes.
Arrival
From the A14 motorway, take the Bludenz-Montafon exit and continue to Schruns. Follow the signs to the valley station of the Hochjochbahn in Schruns.
Public transport: by train to Schruns and from there to the valley station of the Hochjochbahn.
Approach
Variant 1 (Times from Topo): From the Sennigrat mountain station (chairlift above the Hochjochbahn), head shortly north, then follow along the ski slope to the right and continue on the steep, marked path down to the Seetalhüsli (a small hut near Kälbersee). From Seetalhüsli, briefly follow the gravel path towards Wormser Hütte until you reach a signpost. From there, go left down to Schwarzsee and around the lake. At the end of the steep meadow path, hike up to the starting point.
Variant 2: Take the Hochjoch Bahn I up the mountain. At the mountain station, keep left and pass the adventure playground, following the children's play and adventure path. Continue to Speicherteich Kapell. Here, you can either go left along the storage pond (Variant 3) or follow the road to the right. It leads through the ski tunnel (which has a few climbing grips at the exit for warm-up). After the ski tunnel, keep right.
Variant 3: Take the Hochjoch Bahn I up the mountain. At the mountain station, keep left and pass the adventure playground, following the children's play and adventure path. Continue to Speicherteich Kapell. Here, you can either go right along the storage pond (Variant 2) or follow the hiking trail behind the pond to the left. There should be two intersections where you always take the right path. Now, you will arrive at Schwarzsee. Before the lake, go right along the lake to reach the starting point.
Descent
From the exit on the meadow continue up to the "summit". Then go flat on the back to the ski slope. Continue on the slope to the already visible Wormser hut. From the hut on the scenic cross route (great panorama into the valley!) back to the mountain station of the Sennigrat chairlift.
Alternatively, you can also descend on the A via ferrata to the approach path or to the Kälbersee.
