Characteristics

A gorgeous via ferrata running all the time in the waterfall, which is divided into two parts in the middle of the ferrata. It is not suitable for beginners who are afraid of heights. It is quite long but very various, places exposed. But Ferrata has everything what the right ferrata should have :) For example metal and wooden ladders. A nice experience with adrenaline sticks provides a ladder with a 360 degree rotation. For the others there are 2x flying foxes available.

Arrival

Kanderstag Village, turn right after the center towards the small cable car. You can not see it from the road, you will soon see a beautiful long waterfall.

Approach

From the the cable car station you can see the only house in the area, through a short forest, just below the wall. Direction is marked

Descent

There are two options:

- Walking back to the lower station of the Kandersteg-Allmenalp cable car. Starting at the upper station in Allmenalp, head generally south (first West, cross the stream, then SE becoming S, about 1-1.5km) to near Ryharts, before taking the marked hiking trail down to the Wagetiweg (riverside path in the valley) which can be followed North to near the base of the cable car & parking.

- Riding the cable car down: fee is about 15 CHF one way, card payment is possible.
