Via ferrata Karl Kantner Steig is an alternative to the regular approach to Karl-Ludwigshaus (Heukuppe).

Arrival

Vienna - Reichenau an der Rax - Prein - Preiner Gscheid.

Approach

From Preiner Gscheid follow the red tourist sign across the slopes to Siebenbrunnenkessel. At the first turn, turn left onto Karl-Kantner-Steig.

Exit

Via Gretchensteig or Bismarksteig back to Waxriegelhaus zurück (1.5 h).
