Irg - Klettersteig - D
Predicting whether..
!!! The ferrata was dismantled a few years ago, the ropes are missing. It will not be restored. IRG II was built as a replacement.
Characteristics
Nice and airy ferrata on the south side of the Großer Koppenkarstein peak. It was built by the leaders of Ramsau and named after the Dachstein South Wall first climber. In the spring, traces of snow can appear on the Ferrata due to its height and position, but for experienced climbers it should not be such a problem. It is recommended to visit ferrata later.
Arrival

Approach
From the Hunerkogel cable car station down to Hunerscharte and across the Schladming glacier to Schlepplift station. Behind the elevator on the clay ladder to "Rosmarie-Stollens" and through the tunnel to the south. “Rosmarie-Stollens” leads to the exit through the Edelgrieß Glacier (necessary equipment to the glacier!). After that you will get under the ferrata.
Exit
