





Characteristics
The "Historical Path" to the highest peak of the Schladminger Tauern corresponds to the route of the first climbers from 1791.
Arrival
A9 to the Selzthal junction or A10 to the Ennstal exit, then the B146 to Schladming. Direction Rohrmoos and in the Untertal to the Riesach Falls car park.
Public transport: by train to Schladming. Continue on the valley bus (line 974) to Riesachfall.
Access from Göriachtal: B95 to Maria Pfarr or St. Andrä im Lungau. Now go north into the Göriachtal and to the parking lot at the Vorderer Göriachalmen.
Public transport: by train to Tamsweg. Continue with the Tälerbuch (line 720) into the Göriachtal.
Approach
Ascend via the Untere Steinwenderalm to the Gollinghütte and continue on path 702 through the Gollingwinkel to the Gollingscharte (2326 m). From the notch on the left over the marked path to the entrance.
Alternatively, you can also get on from the Göriachtal: from the car park at the Vordere Göriachalmen (1422 m) on path 775 up the Görichtal. Turn right at Göriachwinkel and ascend via path 702 to Gollingscharte (2326 m). Continue as above. The ascent from Göriachtal is about 350 m ascent and 1 hour shorter than that from Riesachsee.

Interesting facts
For very good and, above all, vertigo-free mountaineers, the last alternative part of the tour is the exposed alternative ascent via the unsecured northwest ridge (2). The junction is signposted.
