Characteristics

Very nice and interesting ferrata. Ferrata has easy access, but is very long with heavy passages of D difficulty. There is also a rope bridge. There is a beautiful view on the Juval Castle, where Reinhold Messner built his museum, which is definitely worthy to visit.

Arrival

From Bolzano go on to Merano and then to Naturns. Here, follow the signs to the Untersell Seilbahn and park there.

Approach

Head west towards Schnalstal until you reach the parking lot for the Juval Museum. From the car park you will pass the hives and go to the stream, which will lead you to the beginning of the ferrata.

Exit

Follow the red around the fence until you reach the path. Here you can ascend 180 meters to the cable car's top station, or go down to the valley to Naturns.

Interesting facts

We definitely recommend visiting the Juval Castle, where Reinhold Messner runs his mountain museum and you will find many mountain attractions from around the world.
