Characteristics

Very nice ferrata on the south face of Corna di Caspai, 1,393 meters above sea level, in a very attractive landscape away from the tourist. There is no need to worry about the D / E difficulty, experienced climbers do not even know where it was.

Arrival

Go from Trento to the Sarca Valley and near Sarche towards Lake Idro. At the southern end of the lake go to Vestone and then to another village - Casto (there is also a via ferrata park). In Casto continue uphill to the Commune di Lodrino. Immediately in the village turn right, the small green Ferrate Corna di Caspai sign will take you to the parking above the trattoria (just after Monumento agli Alpini).

Approach

From the car park first along the driveway, then along the forest road (always follow the green / white sign "Ferrate Corna di Caspai"). Leave the forest path and go on the path (always marked green / white) to the start.

Descent

From the top, turn right (east) onto Passo della Cavada. From Passo della Cavada descend under the cable car and follow the signs to the parking.
