Characteristics

Ferrata was built in 1843 and is therefore the oldest ferrata in the world. Although thanks to cable car is easily accessible, it is still an alpine ferrata. During the day there are plenty of tourists.

Arrival

Schladming - turn right to Ramsau am Dachstein, continue straight ahead and then take the Dachsteinstraße on the right up to the parking

Approach

Take the cable car upstairs and over the Glacier to the Dachsteinwartehütte. In front of the hut you turn and go to the top of the glacier. It is possible to go throug Simonyhütte.

Exit

The same way. However you can sleep at Adamek Hütte and the next day go to Gosause, which is about 4.5 hours.
