Characteristics

Excellent via ferrata over Lake di Como, a short walk from Lecco. Ferratas in the area are characterized mainly by the fact that they can be climbed practically without a rope, have good grips and gradients. The ferrata is quite exposed and requires strength in some places. However, the views and experience are worth it.

On the way there is a stream, it is possible to drink from it when you go up, but also on the way down, it is a bit below the ferrata (if you run out of water in summer, it is a nice refreshment :)

Arrival

Lecco - Valmadrera - Frazione Belvedere. Park at the end of the street wherever you can, then keep on walking.

Approach

Follow the signs to the Church of San Tomaso. From there, take the right and then up into the forest through a forest path that will lead you to the start of the ferrata. You can see the rock all the time.

Exit

From the top of Corno Rat to the left down to Sam Tomaso.
