Characteristics
Perpendicular, short but striking via ferrata on Wenceslas rocks in Písek. The via ferrata is perfectly secured by a strong rope and crampons, but the rock provides enough natural steps, you can climb even without crampons, of course you increase the difficulty a little. Just before the top, the via ferrata is connected by a traverse to the neighboring via ferrata Lucinka, there is also a large bench for enjoying the view of the Otava River and the opposite bank. The via ferrata is one-way, descending via the via ferrata is prohibited.
Arrival
See GPS coordinates of the parking lot at the garage. Another option is to park on the main Strakonická road at the turnoff to Vratislavova Street.
Onset
The entrance is well marked, from the parking lot you go down the footpath and after approx. 50m you turn sharply to the right, after approx. 250m you are at the entrance to the via ferrata. Access is directly from the trail leading along the Ottawa River.
Descent
From the top of the via ferrata, go straight to the Vratislavova access road, which will take you to the parking lot, or then again until the ascent to the second via ferrata.
