Characteristics

Ferrata Schmied leads in the forest. The first part is a long, interesting traverse. Other parts are not difficult and alternate each other with a passing of forest sections. At the end, there is a delicate rope bridge.

Arrival

Bad Ischl - Gosausee. You can park at the Gosauschmied restaurant 

Approach

You will cross the road and follow the Stausee - Rundweg road leads over a small pond. After a while, turn left at the pointer. The road leads up to the ferrata through the glade.  

Exit

After the ferrata climb along the yellow marked path up to the Baralm cottage. Take the right to Lake Stausee.
