Characteristics

This ferrata is named after the famous Ötztal mountaineer Reinhard Schiestl, who died by a car accident. A 300-meter long wall is one of the classics of Tirol. It is characterized by several exposed sections and offers beautiful views on the valley.

Arrival

A12 to exit from Ötztal and after B186 to Längenfeld. Go through the village and after about 1.5km there is a parking lot (Klettersteigparkplatz)

Approach

Go down the street and go to the station. A short walk from the stop is the entrance to the ferrata.

Exit

Go to the fenced path and down (not secured by the rope) until you reach the field path. Then back to the main road leading to the ferrata.
