Characteristics

Another great via ferrata in the Mayrhofen area. It is a difficult but a high-quality ferrata full of interesting passages with an E difficulty climb at the end, 200 metres above ground. There are sections of difficulty D that are very long and physically demanding. Those who aren't strong enough to pull themselves up using only the rope will have very hard time completing the climb. It is advisable to bring a rope with you as you can use it to rappel down to the forest. There is an escape route halfway through the climb, but it takes 1.5 hours to get there.

Arrival

A12 towards Innsbruck, exit to Zell am Ziller then continue to Mayhofen and then to Ginzling. After you arrive to Ginzling, the ferrata will be on your left. You can park at the restaurant  in front of the ferrata.

Approach

A 10 minute walk to the rock.

Exit

Go right on the winding path down.
