Characteristics

Not far from the lake metropolis Riva del Garda you climb high above the blue waters of Lake Garda on the southern edge to the summit of the Cima Capi (Ferrata Sussati), from there two more, beautifully prepared, easy climbing trails lead to the roof of the round, the summit of the Cima Rocca. No matter if you start from Biacesa or directly from Riva del Garda to the entrance, you will emerge through dense scrub forest to easy but beautiful climbing passages and breezy ridges. Above, the cool finale inside the Cima Rocca. The summit of the mountain can be explored either through steep, insured trenches or in a marked cavern system from the First World War. Whether below or above ground, the scenic climbing route is very popular, especially for beginners!

Arrival

On the Brenner motorway to Rovereto South / Lago di Garda Nord and then on to Torbole on Lake Garda. From there on to Riva del Garda. In Riva in the direction of Val di Ledro (through the long tunnel) to Biacesa (Biacesa is just at the end of the first, long tunnel passage). Park in front of or in the village.

Approach

In the village on the right follow the signs (way 417). After a short time on a paved road, turn right on the Sentiero dei Bech (trail 470) in the direction of the via ferrata. At a branch turn left towards the Sentiero Laste on path 471.

Exit

Depending on which route you choose, you can take the Sentiero Laste or the Bivacco Arcione on the 460 back to Biacesa.
