Characteristics
The via ferrata "Way to the Castle" is located in the middle of a total of 3 routes when looking at the rock massif from the terrain. Right at the start, the route is guided vertically by a prominent overhanging wall about 4 m long with a minimum of steps. It is the most demanding (children's) section. The securing steel rope gradually turns to the right and copies the most exposed part of the rock wall. After overcoming this part, an easy section follows, led horizontally on pedestrian terrain to the left under another significant rock block. The route is continuous, without interruption, so even this easy section is safe. The final ascent is led straight up along a vertical or slightly overhanging rock and leads climbers to a prominent rock shelf in the top part of the massif. From here, via ferrata riders can go down to the right on the footpath leading to the start of the via ferrata under the rock massif or, on the contrary, go up to the gazebo "Vožický vided".
Arrival
Onset
From the square, go up past the white hall, then either turn left along the road, go around some houses and then turn right and continue without changing direction to the bottom of the rock, or from the hall, follow the stone path between the houses up to the top and then take the footpath down under the via ferrata.
Descent
The descent back under the via ferrata is on the right side of the rock down a forest path. The shortest way to the parking lot from the top is to go behind the gazebo, connect to the Svatojakubská hiking trail to the right and after about 100 meters turn back onto the stone path between the houses you came for.
Interesting facts
Approximately one quarter of the secured route of the Via Ferrata is guided by artificial steps - steel steps and three quarters by natural shelves, ledges and rock outcrops.
