Characteristics

A rather easy via ferrata with only one section of difficulty B/C, otherwise mainly max difficulty B. The ferrata lead to the Grosse Sandspitze top.

Arrival

Linz - Salzburg - here direction Villach and exit to Lienz. In Lienz you turn to Tristach and across it to Lavant, but just after Tristach, turn right to Dolomiten Hutte

Approach

From the car park to Karlsbadhutte. From it along the marked path to the start of the ferrata. You can either follow the blue sign to the top of the Ari Schubel klettersteig, or at the big stone turn to the green marked trail under the rock, where the Gebirgsjaggersteig ferrata begins, which then connects to the ferrata Ari Schubel.

Exit

Along the ferrata back down.
