Characteristics
An easy via ferrata leads from the saddle between Alpspitze and Bernadeinkopf to the summit of Alpspitze. Its course is not secured throughout, and the unsecured sections reach difficulties of up to -I, which can be unpleasant when descending. It is often used as a descent route, which many consider to be a better alternative to the east flank route, which is entirely in the scree field.
