Characteristics

Wildenauersteig is a beautiful ferrata close to Hohe Wand. The Ferrata is without a piece of rope, only cramps. You will also find sections where the cramps is so distant that there is no secured place. For some of you it can be quite a major problem. Ferrata is very interesting and fun. The end is through the chimney where you can barely climb, it is necassary to removy your backpack.

Arrival

Wiener Neustadt - from here on the B26 to Grünbach am Schneeberg. Continue along the main road and behind the church to the right to Seiser Toni. You will ascend the forest path when you get to the spot. Seiser Toni is a place to park, but it can be full in the season.

Approach

From the parking place, there is a sign on the Gebirgsverein ferrata. Wildenauer is just a little bit further in the same location. Take the road between the houses on the forest path and turn left by the big stone towards the rock. Cross the road until you get to Gebirgsverein. Continue to to Wildenauer.
