Characteristics

A beautiful trail that ascends a cliff, offering spectacular views of Chamonix and Mont Blanc.

The route is mostly an easy climb, with a few interesting sections to keep it exciting — and it finishes with a scenic suspension bridge.

Arrival

From Chamonix take the Flegere cable cart to its upper station (Téléphérique de La Flégère). Cost is €18.5 return trip for adults.

From the stop, head to the chairlift's lower station.

Approach

To the left of the chairlift's lower station there are signs to the trail. A short 20 minutes walk will get you to the start of the trail (https://maps.app.goo.gl/Lzn67G3pr1QQCuk38).

Descent

Once you cross the suspension bridge, it's a 20 minutes walk to the Téléphérique de La Flégère and then a cable cart ride back to the parking lot.

Points of interest

From the cable cart's upper station (Téléphérique de La Flégère) you can take several beautiful hiking routes (check out Le Lac Blank - the white lake). If you take the chairlift and walk about 20 minutes, you can also reach a very popular rock climbing crag.
