Characteristics

A Simple via ferrata suitable for beginners, great views and very well securer ferrata. Easy and beautiful ferrata through which we will ascend until we enter a fissure inside the mountain. In which we will follow the ascent through the middle to save a slight drop before the first monkey bridge to then overcome the last vertical part to finish the ferrata in another short monkey bridge and exit from inside the fissure.

Arrival

Arrival is on a concrete road above the village of Benalauria, you will reach the TOP, where there is a parking lot, but we recommend to go for about 500 meters up the hill, where you can park as well, but very carefully.

We will have two parking options:

1- Park next to the A-369 road at the crossroads that indicates the entrance to Benadalid, we will find a house and a bus stop.

2- From the previous parking a few meters before arriving we will see a cemented path that ascends which we will use to reach the parking at the foot of the rock. (For this option the coordinates are added but the road is very steep!)

Where we will find a small house with an antenna. Here ends the cemented track and begins the dirt track at this point we will park (cars ascend with caution as there may be stones in the way).

Approach

From the parking lot go unmarked route to the ferrata. Marking is only using a stone and paths.

Depending on the chosen parking lot we will have two different approaches and times.

1- The approach from the road cross to the opposite side where we will see a signpost and ascend the same track used by cars to the upper parking lot where we take the path to our right, under the house and following the milestones and leave on our left the first ferrata to continue around the rock to another ferrata.

2- If we choose to park at the foot of the rock we will take the path that comes out from under the house and follow the milestones and leave the first ferrata on our left to continue around the rock to the other ferrata.

Descent

The descent is from the top of the ferrata towards the forest, where you get back to the car.

Follow the milestones, descending to the left to the parking lot at the foot of the crag or undo the path to the parking lot on the road.

Points of interest

Probably one of the most beautiful ferrata in Andalusia.
