Characteristics

One of the few ferratas in the Czech Republic, this time over the river Lužnice. Most of the ferrata is a power traverse just above the water where. There are changing more and less difficult parts and there are not many places to rest. In one section, your body will be virtually horizontal. If there is more water, you may get wet. In the middle there is a rope bridge that can be bypassed (this is the ideal place to exchange with climbers going the opposite way). The end section to the top is of difficulty E and is definitely not easy.Beware, the ferrata is bi-directional.

Arrival

You will go to Bechyně. The car park is in front of the bridge on the right bank of the river. Or you can park anywhere in Bechyně.

Approach

From the bridge, take the road along the river to the south, at the end turn left / here you can also park /, you will walk about 100m and at the white house with stones in the facade turn right. Again to the end of the road and then turn left into the steep forest hill until you reach the field. Then right to the end of the field and then left again around the field along the path that will already lead you to the start. Ferrata begins with a ladder going down.

The same way you came.

Interesting facts

In the summer there is an open swimming pool in Bechyně, you can go swimming :)
