Characteristics

Popular and one of the most famous ferratas near the Lake Garda. It is a long ferrata with a long approach which can be exhausting in hot summer. On the way up, you have to overcome long passages on ladders that are not technically demanding, but after a while it becomes tiring. The ladders are nicely exposed. There are many resting passages on the ferrata, so you can get rest if you get tired.

Arrival

Innsbruck - Bolzano. From Verona use the highway, take the Lago di Garda Nord exit. Go to the town of Torbole, from which you will ride along the coast to Riva del Garda and head for Limone. At Riva del Garda, you will drive around the harbor, where you can park in car park.

Approach

Right next to the road there is a large information board from whitch starts a hiking path to Bastione. Climb 200 meters to the white fortress and continue from there follow the marked path and continue on the steep hill to the Capanna cottage. From the cottage, continue to the Chapel of St. Barbara and you will see a sign to the ferrata.

Exit

From the top cross there is a short descent B / C and then take the forest path to the right, which winds over Riva del Garda and goes down to the small town.

Interesting facts
