Characteristics

Ferrata Via Steinbock is another ferrata under the Dachstein. It leads through Schöberl's eastern wall and offers beautiful views on the glacier.

Arrival

Winkl - in Winkl, turn right in front of the bridge and then the second turn right before the bridge. The road leads you to the cable car and the parking lot. Pricelist here: http://www.dachstein-salzkammergut.com/sommer/service/tickets-und-preise/

Approach

From the cable car go down to Gjaid Alm and take the 650 to Simonyhütte. Follow the road 601 to the Hallstatt glacier, and from your left you will begin to bypass Schoberl rock formation. The entrance to the ferrata is visible from the marked path and starts roughly in the middle of the wall.

Exit

Through Mingma-Steig Ferratai from the other side.
