Characteristics

One of the most popular and beautiful ferrata in Sardinia. Ferrata was launched in 2002 and can be completed in both directions, with the beginning from the lower ledge and the climb is easier in that case, the ferrata slightly decreases from the start (B) in the traverse in 110 meters above sea level. The key point of the entire ferrata is approximately in the middle where the steep overhanging wall (D) is secured with French style. The second part of the ferrata is again traverse (B), this time leading back 30 meters above the first part. It offers breathtaking views on the sea, islands, motorboats and cruise ships ... simply amazing. Technically, this is not a real challenge, but a real pleasure.

Arrival

From the north of Alghero along the coast, head towards Fertilia (airport) and follow the signs to Capo Caccia. Along the villages of Maristella and Tramariglio and around Pischina Salida to the south. Then right along the road to the guarded parking lot with a popular view from the cliffs on the sea and the island of Foradada (Belvedere la Foradada).

Approach

From the parking lot along the unmarked trail in a slope south along the cliff edge (ATTENTION !!) to the cliff. Go upstairs to the cave, which is already visible from the parking lot. It is located between the lower and upper ferrata ends. To the left from the cave continue about 20 meters until you will see a larger cairn, then another 10 meters to the start

Descent

Ferrata ends up a few meters above (below) the entrance from where you can see your car in the parking lot. Then the same way back.
