Characteristics

The via ferrata begins ascending a gray wall followed by a diagonal upward overcoming the wall to a girdle that leads to a small waterfall "L'Atrapa Pluges" intermittent flow depending on the time of year and rainfall.

The waterfall is crossed diagonally downhill for 4 meters and up a wall in which we will find the star step of this ferrata "The Blue Metal" a rigid ladder to then find a small overhang.

That leaves us in a crossing with a good aerial environment leading us to the final part where we will find the granite block of the Roca Carrera.

Arrival

Park at the entrance of Barruera.

Approach

Looking straight ahead we will take the exit of the village on our left for about 400m until we find an access on our right which will take us along a path to the start of the ferrata.

Descent

From the end we will follow the path and the signs until we enter the village and descend along the main street until we reach the main road and the car.

Points of interest

If the waterfall in front of the cantilever is active, a shower must be accepted.

As typical for the style in Spain/France the cable is only for security and should NOT be used for climbing, so of course also the difficulty level is based on that (different style like in the alps etc. where the cable has much more tension and counts as part of the ferrata)
