Characteristics
Fairly airy via ferrata with overhang, the difficulty is indicated as TD/TD+ (in practice a bit lighter). After a short approach via a path along the river, the via starts with an easy climb (PD). This is followed by a steeper section with an overhang, where you have the choice of a lighter (TD) or spicier (TD+) variant. You have a great view of the valley here and can catch a glimpse of the Cirque de Gavarnie. The climb continues up to a suspension bridge, followed by a section of descent. After one last climb, the route is complete and you walk back along a path to the river.
Arrival
The starting point is on the road between Gedre and Gavarnie, 700m after passing the Chaos Coumély and just before the Sugarloaf Mountain campsite. A sign indicates the parking lot and this again is the end point.
