Characteristics

Tristkogel Klettersteig is a nice ferrata in the countryside surrounded of forests and fields that is ideal for a day trip, especially if you are somewhere near Zeel am See and want to climb something. The ascent is a bit longer, uphill, but the ferrata itself is fun and there are despite the light difficulty places, where you need strenght. The top is wonderful and when the weather is good, the views are worthy.

Arrival

From Kitzbühel via Aurach on Pass Thurn Strasse. Behind the Hechenmoos restaurant, turn left and go up the Grüntalweg, pass no entry and continue on the Kelchalmweg forest path to the parking lot. At the end of the way there are barriers and pointers, just behind the parking lot.

Approach

From the car park you will go up on the marked path in direction of Tristkogel Klettersteig through Oberkaseralm (approx. 1750 m). Behind the building directly up to the rock.

Exit

You will go down on the marked ridge to the pointer and go right on the same way
