Characteristics
A demanding, longer perpendicular wall and chimney, a middle one of three via ferratas above the village of Leysin. This ferat No. 1 leads to the lower right side of the long wall of the massif.
Arrival
By highway to Aigle (canton of Vaud) - Leysin village - from here by cable car up to Bernouse.
Approach
From Bernouse you can see right across the meadows and pond, the entire Tour d´Ai massif. Ferrata No. 1 runs perpendicularly up in the lower right side of the wall. It is more demanding and longer than the higher-placed ferata No. 2. In the place where the huts are above the road, you can see the massive wall section above you. Walk towards it and you will get to the start of the ferrata.

Interesting facts
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is no mention of all 3 ferats above Leysin anywhere on the Internet. There are only 2. The first one "Plan Praz" between the lower cableway station Leysin and the upper station Berneuse. And the second over Berneuse right in the wall of the "Tour d´Ai". But there are 2 other ferats of varying difficulty, relatively close to each other and without mutual visibility.
