The Via Ferrata Schulteranstieg is located near the Seethalerhütte below the top of the Hoher Dachstein. The Ferrata starts with a sharper vertical climb (C), follows part is an easy ridge (A / B), in the middle is a descending traverse (A) and the second part is a mild ridge (B), leading to the top of Hoher Dachstein 2 995 m.

Lower station of the Dachstein Südwandbahn (car park).

Approach

16min from the cottage Seethalerhütte and to it can be reached in several ways.

* The easiest option is to use a cable car and then follow the path along a glacier.

Exit

Descent from the top leads down the ridge. Then without the traverse on the Normalweg Randkluftsteig (B) to the glacier, which immediately below the via ferrata begins with an extremely sharp descent (ATTENTION! It is necessary to have glacier equipment here!). Or the same way back.
