Characteristics

Brand new, the longest ferrata in Austria, leads to the highest peak Totes Gebirge called Grosser Priel, 2515 above sea level. It was created by joining the previous ferrata: Bert Rinesch + SO-Sporn. Steel rope length: 2130 meters. Grand opening 20.6.2019.

Arrival

Linz - exit to Graz on the A9 - Hinterstoder - follow it straight along the main road and then right to Polsterlucke. There is parking.

Approach

Marked, about 45 minutes from the Prielschutzhaus.

Exit

Turn right on the ridge and then descend to the Brotfallscharte, after a short ferrata of A/B difficulty and through the snow fields back to the Prielschutzhaus.

Interesting facts

It is advisable to combine with the overnight stay at the Prielschutzhaus, members of the AV at a great discount, the next day or the day in advance the possibility of climbing the next long ferrata Stodlertaler KS to Spitzmauer.
