Characteristics
The Prag trail is the normal route from the north and thus the easiest climb to the Triglav. The path is peppered with lots of walkways and has only three protected passages. The key point is located in the upper part of the path, which leads over "Prag" (threshold), a wall about 15 m high, well secured with pegs and wire rope. The Prag trail is often made in descent and does not have as much snow in the gullies in the spring as the parallel Tominškova pot. In the spring you should have an ice axe and crampons with you.
Arrival
A11 through the Karawankentunnel (toll), take the first exit and west to Mojstrana. Through the village into the Vrata valley and through this to the end of the way (Lengarjev Rovt). By public transport: By train to Jesenice and then on Alpetour bus to Mojstrana.
Approach
From the car park through the Vrata valley past the Aljažev dom lodge and the Partisan monument (big carabiner) with the turn-off to the Tominškova pot, after about 45 minutes the Prag lane branches off to the left (red markings).
Exit
On Tominškova pot or on the same way back (Prag) to Vrata valley.
