Characteristics
The newest access to the via ferratas in the Stoderzinken via ferrata park. The Peter via ferrata is the longest via ferrata here and shares the entrance with the Franz via ferrata. The via ferrata leads close to the summit of the Stoderzinken, from which there are wonderful views of the surrounding area.
Arrival
Direction Linz-Lienz-Schladming. In Grobming, turn onto the toll road (15 EUR, free with the Dachstein Sommercard) high mountain road towards the Stoderzinken summit.
Boarding
Together with the Franz via ferrata: From the car park, about 30 minutes along the marked path to the chapel in the wall. Behind the chapel (left up to the climbing park) go right down the secured descent to under the wall to the entrance (clearly visible). At the crossroads, follow the right-hand path, continuing along the crosswalk. Franz leads upstairs.
Exit
From the end of the via ferrata (approx. 2000 m above sea level) follow the marked path back to the parking lot.
Interesting facts
Although rated C, it is objectively more demanding as it requires a lot of friction and puts strain on the hands almost like a D. If you haven't had enough after Peter, you can visit the via ferrata park, which also offers, among other things, a short via ferrata with difficulty level E.
